Diesel Truck & Trailer Repair in Salina, Utah

K&K is a full-service heavy duty shop at the I-70 and US-89 junction in Salina, the last one before the longest service-free stretch of interstate in the country. We work on tractors, straight trucks and trailers, and we have our own wreckers, so if it will not drive here we will come and get it.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 stars from 19 reviews on Yelp.

Signs you need this

If any of these sound familiar, call before it gets worse.

  • Check engine light with a power derate
  • Loses coolant with no visible leak
  • Air dryer purging constantly
  • Dash lights flickering or a dead battery every morning

  • Whining or howling from the drive axle

What to expect

No surprises on the invoice. Here is the order it happens in.

  1. 01

Call before you tow it anywhere

Describe what it is doing. Half the time we can tell you over the phone whether it is worth limping in, waiting for a mobile call-out, or putting it on a hook.

  2. 02

We look at it and price it

You get an estimate before any work starts, and a phone call before anything changes. Nothing gets done on assumption.

  3. 03

    We do the work

Parts availability out here is the usual bottleneck, so we tell you the honest timeline rather than the optimistic one.

  4. 04

You get the truck and the paperwork

Itemized invoice, parts listed, labor listed. Take it to your next shop and they will be able to read exactly what was done.

Salina is where a lot of trips stop being a plan and start being a problem. Heading east on I-70 you leave services behind for a long time; heading north on US-89 you have farm country and not much else. That geography is the whole reason this shop is set up the way it is, general diesel work, trailer work, tires, welding and recovery under one roof, because the alternative for a driver out here is a very long wait.

If you are running a schedule, call before you commit to the miles. We would rather tell you to keep going and see somebody in Richfield than have you sit in our lot for two days waiting on a part.
